Everything gained in years of experience and expertise in the industry has been carefully channelled into PREXIMA, IMA Active’s series of tablet press machines. Powered by IMA’s knowledge of the sector, designed with unique Italian style, built to deliver top-level performance, Prexima is the best solution to handle all production volumes. Prexima ensures complete separation between processing and mechanical areas thanks to the use of purposely designed seals and protections. Along with this feature, the design also provides great accessibility: the processing area is fully accessible once the external doors are opened, while access to the machine basement is required only for maintenance. Prexima’s compression support is based on three columns linked together by two strong cast iron structures. The compression rollers are incorporated within this frame and supported on both sides. This exceptionally sturdy structure guarantees both pre-compression and main compression forces up to 100 kN with maximum reliability. The removal of the turret is quick and easy thanks to a rotating arm completely housed in the upper mechanical compartment. The HMI guides the operator step by step during each phase of turret extraction. Prexima is fitted with MAX, the new corporate HMI. The underneath KORTEX, an iFix-based SCADA, is designed to be IoT ready, for an easier and deeper connection with a superior layer, intra- or inter-plant. The result is and HMI that truly meets the operators’ needs.

Roto Cube is suitable for wet granulation and vacuum drying in single pot. Built to enable the loading of raw materials and unloading in total containment, Roto Cube is ideal for fully isolated processing with HAPI. Technological solutions ensure the gentle treatment of granules during the drying phase. Other features for drying, such as GA.ST. system and tilting bowl, further reduce drying time.
Effecta coating machine
Effecta is the effective answer for everyday coating processes. The functionally shaped perforated drum and the specially conceived baffles positioned in the central sector if the drum guarantee effective mixing of the cores and uniform distribution of the sprayed coating dispersion. Effecta is equipped with automatic cleaning system (W.I.P.) and is also suitable for nutraceutical applications.

CYCLOPS is a bin tumbler designed for blending and homogenizing powders and granules for the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries. The machine can be installed through-the-wall for top-level GMP configuration and space saving in the processing area.
Sterifill RS for Syringe, vial and cartridge-based injectables
As patient safety and dosing accuracy are the main issues concerning injectable administration, IMA Life offers a flexible, reliable small-batch machine for the filling and stoppering of a wide range of Ready-To-Use disposable components. The STERIFILL RS series is specifically designed according to cGMP and FDA regulations and is fit for conventional clean rooms, closed RABS or isolation technology.
EASYFILL filling and stoppering machine
Designed to meet the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry in aseptic processing, EASYFILL is the right answer when a high degree of flexibility and modularity is required in sterile liquid filling. Easyfill is a liquid filling and stoppering machine for vials, both small and large-volume parenterals, available in two models to satisfy medium and high-speed requirements. The machine features a positive intermittent-motion, linear transport and brushless motors for precise movements. It can be equipped with all types of dosing systems typically used for aseptic products and with a checkweighing system composed of load cells for tare weight detection before filling and load cells for gross weight detection after dosing.
High-Speed Powder Dosing & Stoppering Machine
The increasing initiatives taken by the Pharmaceutical regulatory authorities to encourage safe, secure and restricted human intervention in aseptic environments are expected to boost the adoption of new powder-filling technologies over the next few years. As safety, cleanliness and high containment requirements are the key issues to be addressed when facing such a technological challenge, at IMA Life we have developed and implemented an innovative powder-processing concept. The new SMART 300 PWD AUGER rises to the challenge in high-potent drug processing and ensures accurate decontamination control to avoid risk of residual toxicity and cross-contamination between batches. The machine processes at superior speeds of up to 300 pcs/minute and simultaneously doses two different types of pharmaceutical powders inside the same vial with single 100% check-weighing.
C40 Blister packaging machine
The modern design of the C40 Series assures a complete visibility of the whole packaging process as well as full accessibility for the operator. Downtimes are reduced to a minimum, thanks to easy cleaning operations and fast and simple changeovers. Moreover, the consolidated technology has a low impact on the maintenance costs.
Express N Blister packaging machine
EXPRESS N is a flat forming and flat sealing blister machine able to handle thermoforming materials and aluminum. It has been developed with the IMA PG philosophy of delivering a highly efficient machine, ideal for a 24×7 production. Each station of the machine is servo driven. EXPRESS N is also CE certified and is built as per GMP guidelines with possibility of downstream automation.
DYNAMICA - Continuous motion cartoner
Flexibility as key feature: this Series offers the widest range of products to be packed, carton dimension range and applications. Moreover, DYNAMICA S version is able to combine both the continuous and the intermittent motion depending on the product fed. The ergonomics, in terms of carton magazine, product flow and leaflet folding unit heights, is maximum. Last but not least, DYNAMICA is also compact but at the same time easy to manage and intuitive to set up.

Vertical intermittent motion sachet machine
ETA Series vertical sachet packaging machines for 4-seal sachets can handle all types of product from paste products to fluid products, powders, free and non free flowing products, objects and accessories such as wipes. Multiple dosing systems can be installed for alternative productions and, in case of powder packaging, it is also possible to have a double auger to dose different powders into the same sachet. High quality and aesthetically first-class sachets are produced as the seals are made during the stationary phase. BETA machines guarantee extremely easy size changeovers in terms of both sachet width and length.
Industrial Freeze Dryer
The freeze drying process has important applications in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, and pharmaceutical freeze drying is now a standard process used to stabilize, store or increase the shelf life of drug products and other biologicals. LYOFAST is IMA Life solution to keep freeze-drying competitive as a pharmaceutical processing step. For either bulk format or liquid in vials, ampoules or syringes, the LYOFAST units are designed for freeze drying high value products, such as: vaccines, antibiotics, cytostatics, biologicals, hormones, active ingredients, and reactives.
EASYFILL PWD
To satisfy the growing demand for microdosing of pharmaceutical powders, IMA designed the Easyfill PWD, a powder filling and stoppering machine working under aseptic conditions. Able to handle various types of powders and to dose simultaneously two different drugs in the same vial, the machine ensures excellent performance also with difficult products. Easyfill PWD features in-line positive transport and a vacuum pressure dosing system delivering high dosing accuracy and repeatability, as well as efficient sampling and weight checking of the powder dose. Clean design and a reduced footprint make it perfectly suitable for installation in conventional sterile rooms and integration with any type of RABS.
Modular FFS line for suppository production: flexible solutions for thermoforming, filling, and sealing
Actually, an entry-level option for starting a suppository/ovule production can be represented by purchasing a SG 6 RFS, a modular FS machine which works from rolls of plastic pre-formed suppository cavities and includes the filling (SG 6 F), the cooling (SG 6 F) and the sealing/cutting unit (SG 6 S), leaving the PA2000 thermoforming unit as a second step of the investment.
