Azithromycin

Its antibacterial effect is similar to cephalexin. It’s acid-resistant so it can be taken orally, is well absorbed, and achieves relatively high blood concentrations. Its main feature is being resistant to β-lactamase, and it has rapid and reliable bactericidal action against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and other bacilli that are resistant to broad-spectrum antibiotics.
